My Semi-Annual Rant. Time Change

Can we please, for the love of God and all that is good, pick one fall, the time we fall back and change the time by an hour, and just do it for thirty minutes? And then leave it the hell alone? Forever?

If that is too heavy, then can we spring forward in the same manner? Just thirty minutes? Then, leave it the hell alone? Forever?

Or just pick a time and stick with it? Forever?

The constant changing of time, backwards and forwards, has some science to say that it is bad for our health.

Even if I’m wrong about that, then I will give one more argument, irrational as it might be.

I just want five in the afternoon to be five in the afternoon. Is that too much to ask?

As always, your thoughts, please. I am just one humble person with a platform to rant.

About timkeen40

When I was seven, I opened one of those little Golden Books (Lassie) and started copying the words down on paper and it set my soul on fire. I have been writing ever since. I don't know where this is going but I invite you along on the journey.

My soul hears you and nods in agreement. x

I’m with you, Tim. Blasted time change puts me out of sorts, always has. High time for it to be done away with.

  3. I couldn’t agree more. 🙂

I sort of enjoy changing fifteen clocks up and back every year–NOT! Some states don’t do it, so I guess it’s negotiable. Years ago when I worked night shift, I always seemed to get scheduled on autumn DST, which meant an extra hour of work rather than sleep. I’m with you, Tim, life would be easier if we just did away with it. 🙂

Move to Arizona — no time change. But the rest of you are messing it up for us.
