Dime Store Philosophy

As Seen From My  Eyes

If you are not willing to piss someone off, maybe even a lot of someone’s, for something you believe in….

Then, you never really believed in it….

What are your thoughts?

About timkeen40

When I was seven, I opened one of those little Golden Books (Lassie) and started copying the words down on paper and it set my soul on fire. I have been writing ever since. I don't know where this is going but I invite you along on the journey.

  1. I don’t know about believing in but I lost a friend of more than 30 years over something I DIDN’T believe in. I respect others’ beliefs and I expect reciprocity. If not…bye bye.

I think you’re right, but rarely is it so cut and dry. I make my position known, but tread lightly, agree to disagree, as it were. The truly rabid haters and Trump supporters have been dumped or defriended, however. Sometimes the chasm is just too wide to bridge. 🙂

Thank you so much for your reply. It is very hard to have a strong opinion these days because everyone, thanks to social media just like this one, has an opinion. The ones who stand strong are the ones who can block it all out and stay the course. I am not judging. I fail so many times to do just that.

      I love hearing from you.

I’m in a similar camp. I’m finding myself struggling to “agree but disagree” anymore. However, I certainly respect other’s opinions. However, like someone else said, if they can’t respect mine, then we have a problem. It’s supposed to be a two-way street.

Given I tend to piss people off just by breathing… :/

    Blessed Be.
